iPhone Ringtones
- Create FREE iPhone ringtones using iTunes 8
- Open iTunes 8
- Select the song you want to use as your iPhone ringtone

Right click on that song, then click "Get Info" - Hit the “Options” tab
- Check both the “Start Time” and “End Time” boxes to customize the start and end time for your ringtone clip

Specify what time interval you’d like to use as your ringtone
clip. Please make sure your ringtone is 30 seconds or less!! - Click “OK” and make sure the song you want is still highlighted
- Click “Advanced” in the menu bar
- Select “Create AAC Version” or “Create Apple Lossless Version”. You want to create a duplicate song file with the customized playing time.

A duplicate of your song will appear in iTunes but with the same
name and shorter time. -
Drag or save the duplicate song to your Desktop - Delete the duplicate file in iTunes after the duplicate song is copied to the desktop.
- Rename the saved file with the “.m4r” file extension(The .m4r file is now a ringtone file)

The “xxx.m4a” file should now be named “xxx.m4r” - Drag the newly renamed .m4r file back into iTunes or double click that file.
- Drag the file over the “Library” column and release when “Library” becomes highlighted
- You should see your new ringtone under “Ringtones” in iTunes
- Sync your iPhone to get the new ringtone
- Enjoy your free iPhone ringtones!
